HAPPY 4TH!

July 4th was a hot one here in Los Angeles. Spent the day with my husband and some of my best friends, having delicious tacos and cold deep dish apple pie. A perfect summer day to celebrate our Independence and to wear one of the most Americana styles to me, gingham and of course, red, white and blue!

IVY

If you've ever had the pleasure of dining at the Ivy, you'd get why it's so loved and why it's mentioned so often. The place is filled to the brim with technicolor rainbow roses, antiques and ivy-covered plates. Each nook and cranny has something special and totally photo worthy. Even if it's raining outside, you'll feel like you're on vacation, dining on a tropical isle. I recently went for a birthday lunch, probably on one of the hottest days yet but I swear, I still felt an island breeze as I dined on homey penne pasta with fresh tomato and mozzarella and yes, sipped on my Chamomile tea.

HAPPY SUMMER

Enjoyed a lovely morning at LACMA with my Mom, wandering through the new exhibits. Perhaps the most fun was the art outside of the buildings. Such color and whimsy. A perfect way to ring in the first day of Summer.
