THE TRADE WINDS ARE CALLING...

     The spirits of Hawaii and other tropical paradises have become muses for designers such as Prada, Charlotte Olympia, Michael Kors and Zara. (Charlotte Olympia's new collection, "Overboard" was inspired by mermaids and all things nautical.) Along with the "island vibe," there have been a frenetic burst of color and flowers. With the weather being as dreary as its been, yes even California has been affected, these things are a sight for sore eyes! Below is a mixture of things I'm dying over- I'd like to call it "Island Pin-Up Meets English Garden."

MINI POST: CREATIVE WEATHER

  Brrr, today was very frigid and misty. The kind of weather that beckons dark creatures like vampires and ghosts into your mind. Creative weather, I like to call it.

CHILLY COZY CHIC

   Whenever there's a chill in the air, I find myself wearing the same outfit: my favorite jeans (always Rag & Bone) and a nice, luxurious sweater with boots. Luckily, these Miu Miu flats spruced up predictable winter outfit to "chilly cozy chic." It also doesn't hurt that they have a bit of vintage, witchy magic to them.

I'm obsessed with this golden bat headband by Eugenia Kim and I've been meaning to wear it.  I decided to stop procrastinating and just go "batty" for the night.

JAX IS THE NEW BLUE

The Santa Ana winds have brought summer to LA. I altered this JAX dress a lot time ago but it's been too cold to wear it. When I saw the weather for the week (being in the high 70's) I pulled this dress out. Who knew wearing blue could make you feel so happy?
