A 60's KIND OF X-MAS (MINI HOLIDAY POST)

      Santa brought the loveliest dress for me, full of blooming, fuzzy flowers and bits of sparkle! (His elves must shop at ModaOperandi too!) For Christmas Day, I paired this stunning dress with my Miu Miu Mary Janes for a homage to the 1960's--the kind of 60's I love (feminine, colorful and just plain ladylike.)

TWIRLING UNDER THE STARS

     There are few dresses that can transport you to another time and this Milly dress is one of them. The minute I put it, I instantly felt like I should be dancing through the stars with Fred Astaire. Since that wasn't an option, I settled for twirling in my garden and carrying the moon by my side to a sweet night at the Viceroy Hotel.

I think it's safe to say we are all still dealing with the stunning styling of Giambattisa Valli's Fall 2014 show. Those head wraps are amazing! In the spirit of Valli, I decided to mess around with a Hermes scarf channeling a bit of a preppy, greaser vibe.

    As soon as I pulled this Hawaiian Quilt dress by Cynthia Rowley out of its brown box, I was in love. I love the vintage cut of the dress--you're instantly a woman when you put this dress on, hello waist! You can't help but sway in a certain way in this dress, back and forth, back and forth like a "Island Belle."
