COLORFUL+1950s

Spent the beginning of my weekend going to a early matinee showing of "Godzilla" with my husband. Unfortunately, there was a mix up at the movie theater and we were unable to watch it till that night. Rather than going home, disappointed and annoyed, we decided to enjoy our morning with one another. We walked leisurely, window shopped, picked up some lunch and purchased some "His and Her" reading materials to enjoy when the weather cools off.
Of course, a great outfit helps lightens any mood and this one was especially cheery. I couldn't help but feel that this JAX/Zara combo outfit complete with my "Brigitte Bardot" Charlotte Olympia clutch was not only the perfect choice for the hot weather but also, a wonderful nod to the 1950's and a summering Carrie Bradshaw.

Zara crop top, JAX 1950's skirt, Tory Burch Shelby sandals and Charlotte Olympia clutch.

Thank Godzilla, it's Friday!

SWINGIN' BOTANICAL

If you haven't seen Tory Burch's latest line of botanical adorned clothing, you must! I fell in love with pretty much every piece but this dress was the one that really spoke to me. It's a different cut that I'm used to with a prim neckline, criss cross back and flattering thin belt at the waist. In its entirety, it's a throwback to the dolls of 1960's and if anyone knows me, I love vintage inspired clothing. The day I wore this was a sweltering one, nearing the 90's here in Southern CA but even the dead heat couldn't stop me from skipping along in this fun dress.

Tory Burch Emilia Dress and BCBG Maxazria hemp wedges.

The design reminds me of floral anatomical illustrations and seed packets.

Switched out my BCBG Maxazria wedges for a pair of Tory Burch nude sandals. Purse: Saint Laurent Classic Y purse
